Ikea is the store of
decor that we all love to go because, usually, we find what we are looking for
a good price. As we already have accustomed, Ikea brings out
limited collections of the most original. This time, he has turned to one of the
ceramists and
glass artists most influential in Scandinavia,
Ingegerd Raman.
The
artist has given free rein to their
imagination and
creativity , giving life to
Viktigt, the new
limited collection from Ikea, now available in stores. Viktigt is the
result of the collaboration of
Ingegerd, with other designers and artisans in
Asia and
Poland and the designers of Ikea
Nike Karlsson and Wiebke Braasch.

Although the designer has chosen to use
materials with which they feel safe, such as
glass and ceramics, has also wanted to innovate using a
novelty for her:
natural fibres, great
protagonists of this collection. The designer traveled to
Vietnam to discover how they worked with materials such as
bamboo or rattan. The result was
unique pieces such as rugs, baskets,
lamps, bowls or lids braided. Although we know that Ikea normally we are accustomed to
collections of colorful and cheerful this time has wanted to bet by the
functionality and simplicity.
We leave you the
video of the new collection, showing the artist talking about the
keys of
Viktigt.
All the pieces serve a
basic function. One of parts most iconic are the
lamps is hand-made, reminiscent of a lot of the
hats of traditional Vietnam. For Ingegerd everything he does comes first from a
need, therefore, created the
cups without handles or
baskets for the bread.

A collection,
sober, simple and elegant, but also
sustainable and of great
quality. All the elements will allow you to give it a different and
sophisticated to your home. And never without forgetting that this is what you will find for
affordable prices.
