The RAE defines the
concept of homeopathy as:“the healing system that applies to the diseases, in minimal doses, the same substances that, in larger amounts, would produce the sound man symptoms identical or similar to that which is fought”. Currently,
numerous scientific research have failed to elucidate to what extent it is effective or not homeopathy, that is why
some doctors continue addressing this topic from the pseudoscience.
The methods homeopathic remedies were used for the first time in the year 1808 by the German physician
Samuel Hahnemann, which are supported in various scientific studies
that demonstrated its effectiveness , and served for
Hahnemann to become the
founder of the history of alternative medicine.
What is it?
The
Spanish Society of Homeopathic Medicine - SEMH – explains homeopathy as: “A substance capable of producing a series of symptoms in a healthy person is also capable of curing similar symptoms in a sick person”. But what makes this method different is about all the
homeopathic medicine and the
way to prescribe it.
For example, when two people have the flu,
the homeopath does not prescribe the same medicine to both. The flu is not affected by the same persons, one may cough a lot and other hand may have a higher fever. The
homeopathy involves choosing the type of medication that is best in each case, therefore, one of the patients
may feel better with a specific medication for the cold and the other with a drug for the fever.
In what cases do you typically use?
Homeopathy
treats both acute and chronic, is especially effective for respiratory infections such as
allergies - rhinitis, asthma, eczema, etc - and, also,
it is very positive for digestive diseases common as hemorrhoids or constipation.
